A Campaign of Care: Four Films for

TB Awareness with MoHFW

In partnership with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2626 developed a four-part film series to deepen public awareness around Tuberculosis (TB) elimination. Designed for mass reach yet crafted with cultural sensitivity, the films bring attention to early detection, vulnerable communities, the role of nutrition, and the need to end social stigma.

Each message is rooted in one idea: that good information, delivered with empathy, can shift attitudes and change lives. The films were broadcast across radio and digital platforms in multiple regional languages, with a consistent focus on clarity, accessibility and public trust.

Early Detection

The first film places early detection of TB at the heart of TB care. It encourages immediate testing for anyone experiencing symptoms, especially those in high-risk categories. Early detection is shown as the most effective way to reduce risk of serious illness.

Vulnerable Populations

This film speaks directly to people more likely to contract TB due to existing health or lifestyle factors. It calls for proactive screening and introduces preventive therapy as a shield. The tone is direct, but supportive—placing responsibility alongside reassurance.

Nutrition

Here, nutrition becomes a vital tool in recovery. The story highlights government schemes like the Ni-kshay Poshan Yojana and the role of community-driven support systems such as Ni-kshay Mitras. The message is simple: better nourishment, faster healing.

Ending TB Stigma

This film tackles misconceptions around how TB spreads. It reassures viewers that the disease cannot be transmitted through casual contact and that treatment quickly stops its spread. At its heart, the film is about dignity, inclusion and solidarity.

Together, these films form a unified voice that informs, empowers, and invites every citizen to be part of a healthier, TB-free India.
